Stuck? Most answers are below — and a real person reads every email.
Open Retold, press the big +, say when the story happened, and press the red button. Then just let them talk — pauses, tangents and all. Press stop when the story's done, and Retold will draw it into a little film. The best recordings happen when you hand the phone over and stay quiet.
It happens — the app might mishear a word or draw a sheep where the dog should be. The wobbliness is part of Retold, but if a story comes out properly wrong, record it again (storytellers rarely mind a second telling) or email us with what happened so we can improve it.
Sign in with Apple on the storyteller's phone, and your stories go to your private family shelf. Anyone you invite to the shelf can sign in on their own iPhone and watch every story — in the storyteller's real voice — wherever they live.
Your first story is free, forever. Retold Plus — £39.99 a year or £5.99 a month — lets the family keep unlimited stories on the shelf. Anything you've already made stays yours and stays watchable even if you stop paying.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple: on your iPhone go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Retold and tap Cancel. You'll keep Plus until the end of the paid period. For refunds, use Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com.
Long-press any story on the shelf to delete it — that removes it from our servers too. To delete your whole account and every recording, use Settings → Delete account in the app, or email us and we'll do it within a few days. Details in the privacy policy.
Not yet — it's on the way. If you email us, we'll happily tell you the moment it lands.
Email finzodesigns@gmail.com with what happened and, if you can, which iPhone you're using. Replies usually within a day or two — it's a small family-run app, which is rather the point.
